About Us

Austin Kiln Club is a brand new project started by local ceramics artist, Mary Helen McNally. MH works from her home studio and shares resources with her sister and fellow potter, Sarah Kamalsky. You can find their work on Instagram at @sistermoonceramics or visit their web site at SisterMoonCeramics.com.

Mary Helen has been firing work for Sister Moon Ceramics for the past three years. She is familiar with basic firing practices for the electric kiln. Their studio has two well-loved Skutt kilns that fire all of their work, and will now be firing work for South Austin Kiln Club.

In addition to being a potter, MH is also an illustrator, author, web designer, and food stylist. She came to ATX from New England a little over ten years ago, and both her crazy kids are Austin natives.

South Austin Kiln Club is kicking off operations from Mary Helen’s backyard in southwest Austin near William Cannon and Brodie Lane in 78749. The studio address will be shared with enrolled members only.
